From Desert to Showring: A Guide to the Arabian Native Costume

This book covers three main parts- a 20 page section on the history of the Arabian Native Costume, a large 50+ page section on how to construct a MODEL HORSE SCALE Arabian costume in both showring and authentic styles, and a 20+ page reference section geared towards showing the MODEL scale Arabian costume in model horse shows.

There are nearly 15 pages in full color and hundreds of other images in black and white as well as plenty of hints, tips and secrets that I have used to produce NAN Champion pieces. This book will help make both an authentic style costume and a modern American showring style costume.

There are sections on the rules of the Arabian costume class to help you with your set ups at both Live and Photo shows so you can get the most out of each class as well as example reference and documentation cards.

This book tops out at just over 100 pages and is comb bound. As this is a "working" book for you, I have printed on only one side of each page so that you can use the back sides of each page to jot down your own notes, sketches or even tape your own reference pics to. There are plans of a "real" hard back full color coffee table book version of the history part only, focusing on the "real" horse world.

**Please note, while this book DOES have a 20 page history on the real Arabian Horse Costume and its development over the years, it IS mainly geared towards the MODEL horse hobby. There are no instructions or patterns for making REAL HORSE SIZED Arabian Costumes.**
